Mission: The preservation and flying of vintage aircraft. The museum was founded with the goal of bringing people together to relive, recollect, and learn about aviation history. Our mission is to deliver the sights, sounds, smells, and excitement of flight to every museum visitor.
Programs: Maintaining museum operations for public benefit presenting exhibits, interpretations, and heritage aviation experiences. Had more than 20,000 patrons/museum visitors.
develop aviation events hosted by the museum to promote interest in aviation and the preservation of aviation history to the community. Hosted seven successful community events to promote aviation interest: paper airplane flight school (february), militaria show & sale (march), olympic air show (june), rocket races (november).
off site appearances thoughout the pacific northwest to promote education and awareness of aviation history. Off-site appearances, to include: northwest aviation conference, armed forces day, ft. Lewis at joint base lewis mcchord, lacey spring fun fair, hands on children's museum camp, museum of flight and several local parades.
