As a coach in this organization, it is my opinion that the people in charge have stopped caring for the league. The organization of the league is haphazard at best at the coach and parent level. Phone calls to the commissioner go unreturned. The phone number listed for northwest is disconnected. A Verbal Request for copies of tax exempt documents went unanswered, and now i have been forced to make a written request. This does not give a favorable image when most Non profit organizations will glady let you see their documents. The league is dying in the hands of the current board yet they seem in different about it. One board member abandoned his team at a game that he himself scheduled, and left a 12 year old in charge against adults.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
my headaches and my parents disgust
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Bring it back to the stature that it once had. It would be about the kids again, and not some proud board members who refuse to let go.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the kids and families on my teams
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
very good people who want the best for their kids and the league.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
that is way too much money for this organization. They do not use the money they have for the betterment of the league.
Ways to make it better...
There were new board members running the league
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Jack Mccoy, Paul Mccaan, Bob Dietz, and Sid palmer.
One thing I'd also say is that...
Many have tried to save this league from the board only to be shut out, and forced into other leagues. There are many good people with good ideas willing to help, but who are being ignored. Its almost as if the board wants to fail the kids. It is a shame.
