Programs: Shelter & Adoptions: The Norfolk SPCA provides temporary refuge to unwanted and abandoned animals in Hampton Roads. Our adoption program ensures that every healthy animal finds a home. All animals are current on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed or neutered before being placed in new homes.Wellness Clinic: The Fenton Garnett Jordan Spay/Neuter Clinic is located inside our shelter and provides sterilization surgeries to all Norfolk SPCA animals before adoption, as well as low-cost surgeries and vaccinations to the public.Humane Education: In an effort to educate the public about the importance of spaying and neutering and responsible pet ownership, our Education department visits schools and nursing homes, and conducts an animal-related day camp.Volunteer Program: Adults and children help the Norfolk SPCA by volunteering in many different ways. Volunteers participate in special events, help socialize animals, and educate the public about the NSPCA's programs.Pet Behavior Counseling: "Keeping Pets with People" is a program that helps identify common pet behavior problems and fix them. Our staff provides behavior counseling and supplies the public with information.
