To financially support the mission, values and programs of the Boy Scouts of America by promoting and soliciting gifts, grants, and matching funds from individuals, corporations, and foundations interested in supporting Scouting through its local councils and other Scouting organizations, both nationally and internationally.

The National BSA Foundation helps individuals, corporations and foundations support the needs and mission of Scouting around the world: A single gift to the Foundation may be divided among multiple councils, programs and Scouting organizations chosen by the donor. The Foundation can accept and distribute general gifts and specifically designated gifts for Scouting both locally and internationally. It can receive and distribute to councils gift from corporations and foundations that could not support local councils directly. Through the Scouter Advised Fund program, a donor may establish a named fund with the Foundation to support Scouting. The Foundation can serve as a trustee for charitable trusts that generate support for Scouting, as well as income and possibly tax benefits for donors. It can accommodate donors who want to support Scouting through creative arrangements such as life estates, bargain sales, life insurance, testamentary trusts, and others.

It is very sad to see them abandon their values. Not everyone is going to agree with your position in life about social issues, politics, etc. They sold their 103+ year standard to the highest bidder - in this case AT&T. Corporate funding is great, but it should never dictate your position, on any issue. Thanks but no thanks AT&T and the BSA - you have both lost my support as a client and volunteer / donor. Trail Life USA is where my service and money will be going. We honor the legacy that was the BSA but will now raise the standard.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Remove all current paid leadership

Would you volunteer for this group again?

For the time you spent, how much of an impact did you feel your work or activity had?

Did the organization use your time wisely?

Very Well

Would you recommend this group to a friend?
