MII was founded (before incorporation) in 1987 by Christian recording/concert artist, Bobby Michaels, to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ around the world through vocal music concerts and evangelism. WORD Records had "signed" him not only for his abilities musically and as an effective communicator of the Gospel, but also because of his desire to reach the nations with the Gospel through the unique instrument of music. In 1999, his ministry had grown to where he had ministered through song and teaching seminars to 51 nations. Most of these foreign mission trips have been financed through concert honorariums and recorded music sales of Mr. Michaels'' personal income (which have now all been turned over to MII). Thus, the decision was reached by the newly formed Board of Directors to form Musicianaries Int''l, Inc., to enhance and expand the reach of Mr. Michaels'' international outreach ministry as well as to provide opportunities for like-minded Christian artists for ministry in collaboration: evangelizing and teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the performing arts.
Programs: MII has been actively working with other missionary organizations like Global Connection Int'l., American Leprosy Missions, Compassion International, Kampuchea For Christ Int'l., The Continental Singers, Youth With A Mission, Youth For Christ Int'l., Operation Mobilization, Christian Artists South Africa, Open Doors with Brother Andrew, Bible Literature Int'l., etc. by providing musical concerts featuring Bobby Michaels and local indigenous artists as well as other internationally known recording artists and clinicians to over 57 nations so far.Medical personnel frequently accompany Musicanaries Int'l. on missionary outreach trips to provide humanitarian services to indigenous people in select countries visited. Medical supplies, medicine and food are also distributed in select locations, depending on needs requested and provided for.Rev. Michaels also performs and ministers approximately 50 concerts in the U.S. annually, sharing the Gospel through song and relating stories of encouragement from the mission field to the body of Christ in North America. His music is heard extensively on Christian Inspirational radio stations around the world.MII also has a "Musical Instrument Bank" of donated instruments, that are then taken and distributed in 3rd world countries to indigenous music ministers and Christian artists, to empower them in their own cultural expression, to win others for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.Musicianaries Int'l, Inc. led by Bobby Michaels gave the first Gospel concerts in Peoples Rep. of China in 1985, North Korea in April 2001 and in Cuba 2002.
