LITERACY VOLUNTEERS OF AMERICA-PITT COUNTY
Mission:
The mission of Literacy Volunteers – Pitt County (LV-PC) is to promote literacy in Pitt County through trained volunteer tutors who provide one on one and small group tutoring to adults with limited reading, writing or English speaking/literacy skills.
Adult literacy is the ability to read, write and speak English proficiently, to compute and solve problems, and to use technology in order to become a life-long learner and be effective in the family, in the workplace and in the community.
