The unethical practices are the only thing that's consentient with the agency. Your education and hard work is never consider in decision making and promotions. If you have a GED you can become the ED.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Re-Staff----Change the ED and BOD

LINK of Hampton Roads helps reduce homelessness in the Hampton Roads area. One of their missions dear to my heart is care for the homeless. Since there is no permanent homeless shelter on the Peninsula - they coordinate the efforts of approximately 80 churches to provide shelter and two warm meals for over 100 homeless each evening during the cold months.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

so many ways. I have worked with this organization for 4 years. I have seen the homeless receive shelter, food, job referrals, clothes and tools that were needed to work at a new job, bus tickets to get to a job interview, annual flu shots. There are so many great things going on.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

like for them to receive more in grants and donations so that they could do even more good.

As the Field Instruction Coordinator for Christopoher Newport University's Social Work Program I am very pleased to be associated with LINK of Hampton Roads, Inc. We have worked with LINK for many years, taking advantage of their expertise regarding Homelessness especially. This year we have a senior social work intern with the agency who is having a great learning experience. Nan Volette is particulary helpful and is seeing great results both with our student and the clients that are served by LINK. Keep up the great work!

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

dedicated, well-qualified and eager to serve those needing their help.

I have had experience with several organizations over the last 20 years and my experience with LINK was the most beneficial. The workers were friendly and genuinely cared about their clients. I believe this is a very important factor for any business, non-profit or otherwise. I work in the customer service field my self and so often see people who talk to clients as if they(the agents) are robots. This is not the case with LINK. They are GREAT!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

my life as they helped me to once again become a productive member of society, return to school and obtain a key position with a reputable world wide company.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the genuinely caring personality of my case worker to anything within her power to help me succeed.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

friendly and knowledgable about what I needed and how to assist me in obtaining my goals.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

provide much more for people that are in the same circumstance that I was and assist them in doing the same things. They really could make a tremendous impact on the community
