Target demographics: Low income families, Western CT, Bereaved families
Someone who had 3 hours of volunteer time could: Help us do research and locate other resources for the children and their families. Take the hours of "browsing/searching" away from the parents and families so they may spend the last days with their sick child/loved one, and put the resources together for them. This is an ongoing project.
Geographic areas served: Litchfield County, Hartford County CT
Mission:
It is our mission to support families of children with terminal illness, disease or trauma. We will be by their side emotionally, physically, and financially and vow, to do it with respect and compassion.
Results:
As an organization we have made leaps and bounds. We have our website up and running, Facebook page going, all of our thoughts and emotion are going forward in the way of new programs.

I serve on the Board of Light of Hope not only because I lost my nephew who this foundation was started for but because everyone I have met has such a caring and loving heart. And it's a great organization to be a part of because we are doing our best to help families through some very hard times...
