The Mission of L'Arche is to make known the gifts of people with intellectual disabilities (MR/DD), revealed through mutually transforming relationships. We foster community that is inspired by the core values of our founding story and responds to the changing needs of our members. We also engage in our diverse cultures, working together toward a more human society.
We have used gifts to send adults with intellectual disabilities on spiritual retreat along with assistant (direct care giver). The bond formed between the two people is precious and awe-inspiring.
