Reviews for Jewish Family Service of Dallas Incorporated
6 year board member who has fallen in love with JFS! JFS provides services to ANYONE in need and operates a spectrum of services to allow individuals and families to be able to have stability in their life. From the professional mental health services to the food bank, career and employment center, gerontolgy services, special needs partnership family violence unit and more, JFS is about serving the needs of the whole community.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Seeing the thank you notes from clients that literally describe a life saved, dignity restored, a functioning family, emergency assistance provided and emotionally healthy, hopeful views of the future. Also, the experience had by the thousands of volunteers and the board members is eye-opening, meaningful and heartwarming. Love when I meet someone who always seems to have a glowing report on how JFS has helped their child, friend, sister, grandparent, neighbor, etc... and what a big fan they are!!
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
This organization is limited only by funds. JFS has the desire and ability to provide high quality, professional services to the community with very low overhead. JFS is one of only 2 social service agencies in North Texas to receive accrediation from the Council on Accrediation (all program areas).

How did you learn about this organization?
JFS has a long history of service in the community (60+ years). They assisted my grandmother with Meals on Wheels, LifeLine (the "I've fallen and can't get up" program), friendly visitors, and mental health services when she lost a child to illness.
What is this organization's top short-term priority?
Secure funding to address wait lists.
What is its top priority in the long run?
Expand services to meet growing demands by the whole community for the continuum of services, especially in areas that have needs unmet or underserved by other organizations.
