I have been a fulltime volunteer with Hope for Homeless Youth since the begining of Janraury 2009. I have seen thousands of homeless men and women fed lunches, dinners and specail free events all designed to offer them a free place to come to get off the streets for up to 3 days. Hope for Homeless Youth also has a 12 month Chistain discipleship program that is designed to reconsile, restore and rehabilitate people from the life controlling issued that caused their homelessness.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
a deeplt personal way. I have lived there and worked there for 11 months and have seen thousands of lives touched and many people have responded in a positve way to Hope for Homeless Youths efforts.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
somehow provide the resources to offer the staff workers a fair wage so they can keep the turn over of staff and volunteeers from happening. GOOD PEOPLE ARE HARD TO FIND, try to keep them.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the genuine love for the lost young people they encounter and thier passion to make a difference in thiere lives.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Men women and young people from all over the world and the USA, come here for Short Term Missions work. These people are so wonderful, tireless and committed to seeing lived changed.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
REPRODUCE IT SELF IN OTHER CITES IN THE USA WHERE YOUNG HOMELESS PEOPLE ARE VULNERABLE, LAS VEGAS, SAN FRANCISCO, METRO NYC AREA WOULD BE THE FIRST THREE PLACE TO EXPAND TO
Ways to make it better...
the ministry would have had more resources to transport and touch more people.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
LACK OF FINANCIAL RESOURCES
One thing I'd also say is that...
PASTOR CLYTON GOLLIHER THE FOUNDER AND EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR IS LEADING THIS MINISTRY WITH PASSIONA ND INTEGRITY
