Mission: To utilize fully the physical and scholarly resources of gunston hall to stimulate continuing public exploration of democratic ideals as first presented by george mason in the 1776 virginia declaration of rights.
Programs: Museum shop - provided gift shop, which sold both historical and educational items to visitors.
library, archives, and technology - manages organization's library, rare book, and archival department, including purchasing appropriate rare books and manuscripts and modern reference books, cataloging, and developing on-line access of collection in cooperation with other historical sites. Also manages and designs the organization's website, in-house coordination of computer/technological issues, and serves as the liaison with the commonwealth of virginia's technology department.
buildings and maintenance - provided general maintenance to administration buildings. Also, in addition to the review and master plan for the quad buildings, the roofs were replaced on the three residences.
