The GoodWeave Campaign to End Child Labor is an education and outreach campaign aimed at encouraging U.S. market share for GoodWeave certified child-labor-free rugs. As of year-end 2009, that market share is estimated at 4.2 percent--higher than that of organic foods. Through consumer outreach, advertising, editorial placement, recruitment and development of licensees, point-of-sale education, and social networks, the GoodWeave Campaign to End Child Labor will continue to apply pressure through the consumer, the importer, and the exporter down the production chain to rug makers, compelling them to forego child exploitation in order to compete.
Fees paid by licenseees for the GoodWeave certification fund children's educations in Nepal and India, as well as inspection and monitoring programs.

GoodWeave is a nonprofit organization working to end illegal child labor in South Asia’s handmade rug industry and provide educational opportunities to the region’s emancipated and at-risk children.
Since its inception, GoodWeave, formerly known as RugMark, has seen the number of South Asian children exploited at carpet looms decline from 1,000,000 to 250,000, and seeks to liberate these remaining “carpet kids”
