GlenWood was established in 1968 by the West Virginia Annual Conference, United Methodist Church. The mission of the agency is to: minister, respecting other communities of faith, based on principles of The United Methodist Church; instruct and guide staff to give their best; serve as responsible stewards for the property of those in our trust; sensitize residents and staff to each person's right of self-determination; intentionally provide a safe and caring environment for life and work; organizationally, be recognized as the best continuing care retirement community; and never be satisfied . . . constantly seek for perfection.
