Fredericksburg Counseling Services, Inc.

Rating: 5 stars   1 review 66

305 Hanson Avenue Suite 140 Fredericksburg VA 22401 USA

To provide counseling services for individual and family problems for residents of the fredericksburg area. Also trainings for residents and staff, educational presentations, psychological testing, mental health screenings, and services as needed (as conditions change with the community. )

The agency operates under one program with multiple aspects. Those who receive services must meet client criteria-have no insurance and fall within the 200% poverty guidelines. With the agency being a training site for graduate students and license eligible graduates, we are unable to charge for services by state board guidelines. This is how the agency is able to provide the services at no cost to the client. Program aspects include direct counseling, individual, adult or child, groups, family or couples counseling, mental health testing and screening, presenting educational lectures and presentations, providing training to other agency clients and staff, and stepping forward to meet new needs within the community as they arise and the agency is able to respond.

This agency does amazing things. Helping residents, being available for people who have so little and need so much. The students FCS works with are also amazing. Mental health work is difficult enough, but being able to mold the future therapists is awsome.
