Mission: The mission of the florida sheriffs association as a self-sustaining, charitable organization, is to foster the effectiveness of the office of sheriff through leadership, innovative practices, legislative initiatives, education and training.
Programs: Membership - general services provided to the members of the fl sheriffs association
conferences and seminars - the florida sheriffs association sponsors and provides a variety of management and technical training programs. We host two major conferences for sheriffs (winter and summer), plus offer training seminars for sheriffs' office personnel. Training seminars offer expertise in leadership, human resource/risk management, administrative management and other law-enforcement and corrections-oriented areas of need.
legal and legislative - support and monitor legislation that ensures public safety in florida. Research and communication to sheriff offices about legal matters and monitoring of legislation that directly impacts the office of the sheriff.
