Target demographics: the unwanted horse population

Someone who had 3 hours of volunteer time could: groom horses, muck stalls, paint fences, do repair work, sweep the barn and feed room, clean feed and water buckets, assist with feeding the horses, pull weeds, and/or enjoy the serenity of the farm.

Geographic areas served: Tampa, Florida

Programs: Rescuing, rehabilitating, rehoming horses; riding lessons; winter and summer camps

Mission:
Equestrian Inc. Horse Rescue is dedicated to providing a rehabilitative sanctuary for abandoned, abused, unwanted, or slaughter-bound horses. We strive to bring people who love horses together with the horses we love.
Results:
In the past two years we have rescued 11 horses and rehomed 5 horses. Equestrian Inc. is fundraising to buy the land we are leasing, but with 35 horses to feed it has been difficult to earmark money for this effort.
