EHC LifeBuilders Overview
Target demographics: Homeless single adults, families, youth, seniors, and veterans
Direct beneficiaries per year: Each year, EHC LifeBuilders serves over 10,000 people in the County of Santa Clara.
Geographic areas served: San Jose, Santa Clara, San Martin, Sunnyvale and Gilroy
Programs: The principal programs are:(1) Sobrato Family Living Center, a 50 family housing program (emergency, transitional and permament housing); (2) Transitional Housing Program, providing up to 2 years of affordable housing for single women with children and singles with a history of mental illness or substance abuse; (3) Sobrato House youth programs, providing 14 day shelter, drop-in center and case management services for homeless and runaway youth; (4) Boccardo Family Living Center, a 25 family shelter program in South County; and (5) Monterey Glen Inn, a permanent housing program providing 95 units of affordable single room occupancy housing and supportive services; (6) Casa SAY youth shelter in Mountain View, providing shelter, counseling and family reunification to at-risk youth.
