To provide people with knowledge and confidence in dealing with their diabetes.

Divabetic was created as a way to encourage women to safeguard each other and their families against complications related to diabetes. Divabetic's outreach events mix free beauty and fashion services and music with interactive diabetes education in a fun, comfortable setting in order to broaden the appeal of diabetes outreach for women. Main event has been makeover your diabetes. This event was specifically designed to encourage women living with diabetes to renew, restore, and refine their personal commitment to care both inside and out. Free makeovers, fashion advice, nutrition and fitness guidance, general diabetes education about care, treatments, and intense care devices were highlights of this outreach event.

Reviews for Divabetic

Rating: 5 stars

I was feeling burnt out, not wanting to do more for my diabetes control. I wanted out of all this stuff! But www.divabetic.org helps me when I'm feeling down with its holistic approach to understanding and helping people with diabetes and the people who care for or about people with diabetes.

Max Szadek, the Divabetic founder, has done an amazing job motivating many Divabetics to make many changes on the wellness road. When I need to be re-energized, I go to Divabetic.org. Divabetic has taught me to "Glam more, Fear less!" (Glamor, Fearless)

Divabetic is anything you can imagine it to be: a support group, and information center, a beauty bar, an exercise component, a nutrition component, a cooking component, a meditation module, a hobby group--You name it, Divabetic does it and more.

While I was at a Diabetes Expo a couple of years back, I noticed that though there were many other "vendors" there, the Divabetic section was packed with people participating in the Divabetic style of health services, which that day included dance and music.

Divabetic is "Wellness with a Wow."
