The Detroit Symphony Orchestra is dedicated to the very highest quality of music performance and education programs, through the operation of an orchestra and concert hall among the best in the world.


2004-05 Season includes: "All Tchaikovsky", "A Gershwin Valentine", "Straight from the Heart: Peabo Bryson", "Kenny Garrett and the Professors of Jazz at MSU", and "A Musical Collaboration" with husband and wife team of David Roberston and Orli Shaham. FORD ConcerTalks. Get the most out of each concert by attending Ford ConcerTalks. Led by former WQRS-FM Music Director Charles Greenwell, ConcerTalks are informal and informative discussions that reveal interesting facts about the program and provide a behind-the-scenes look at the art of making music. Featuring special guests, ConcerTalks are held in Orchestra Hall, one hour prior to all afternoon and evening classical performances. COFFEE CONCERTS Join us at The Max for Thursday Coffee Concerts, sponsored by DTE Energy Foundation, and Friday Coffee Concerts, sponsored by Bank One. These 10:45 a.m. concerts are preceded by free coffee and donuts one-hour prior to concert time.
