Counterpoint Ministries Executive Director has been living and ministering tin Coquimbo Chile for the last 4 years. Our work is expanding because of the devastating earthquake of February 27, 2010. The Ministry is involved in a number of projects to assist the victims in a number of different areas. The most important now is the establishment of a Free to the Public Medical Clinic in Coronel (across the river from Concepcion). The project is being overseen and developed by the Joint Association of the neighborhood Juntas. A Junta is the neighborhood organization for each subdivision in the City. Space has been donated by the city and they are now looking for funding for equipment and supplies. I can think of no finer project for this small city right now.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Louisiana and Chile. I am the founder.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I am the Executive Director and am doing what has been needed for several years. Reorganizing the Board of Directors and expanding the potential of the ministry.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
Working with the greatest group of volunteers ever and being privileged to witness the personal sacrifices they have made to do such wonderful work!
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Self sacrificial, generous, loving and hard working!
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Build a bunch of houses and fund a bunch of clinics.
Ways to make it better...
We had a more stable source of funding. We have no paid employees and all donations are used for projects.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Finding the funding to meet the challenges that lay ahead in our new ministry field in Chile. Also to find more volunteers and ministry partners here.
One thing I'd also say is that...
Thanks for the opportunity to share .
