Mission: See schedule o. Colorado soccer association (csa), a non-profit educational and service organization, oversees colorado soccer, benefits players and members, advances and honors the game by providing critical infrastructure and promoting sportsmanship and fair play in a safe and enjoyable environment.
Programs: Referee: to compensate officials for games worked, to administer game reporting functions and to promote training and development of referees' skills to enhance the game of soccer. Over 1,000 officials participate in csa leagues and tournaments.
registration: to register players and to provide them the opportunity to play soccer at a level comensurate with their age, ability and desire. Total player registration is approximately 65,000 players annually.
tournaments: to organize and promote soccer tournaments, encouraging competition and the betterment of skills.
coaching: to provide training, clinics, and workshops for coaches in order to improve their abilities to coach and develop youth players. There are over 5,000 coaches in colorado with over 500 attending educational programs annually. Olympic development program: to identify a pool of players in each age group (youth) from which a state team will be selected for regional competition and/or camps. To provide high level training to benefit and enhance the development of players. Approximately 800 players participate in odp annually. Other programs include the adult program, top soccer program, soccer start program, and field grants.
