In 1966 the Collinsville Volunteer Fire Dept. took over the active and daily responsibility of providing Fire protection to the towns of Collinsville and Canton. Prior to 1966 Fire surpression was provided by the Collins Company Axe Factory. Through steady fundraising and volunteer hours we built our current building to house our fire apparatus and ambulance in 1972. We provided daily operating services free of charge to the community until 1997 when the daily operations were turned over to the Town of Canton. We currently provide support services to the active firefighters and EMS crews during difficult calls. We also provide low cost CPR classes to both town residents and the general public, as well as several scholorships to our graduating cadets. We support the Canton Youth Soccer league and are involved in community safety & awareness programs.
