Reviews for City Hearts Kids Say Yes To The Arts L A Fringe Theatre Inc

Rating: 5 stars

I've been a student with City Hearts, and I am pleased to say that the teachers and opportunities given are far from what is expected. I've been glad for having the opportunity to see young actors become bond of Theater, and immerse themselves from being novice players, to become great stars under the stage. It is all thanks to City Hearts this growth was possible, inspiring young actors to get a fine education in the arts, and seeing them achieving their dreams play by play.

City Hearts, without a doubt, has changed my life. I have been with the City Hearts program for well over four years and have loved every aspect of it. The sixth grade, which was my first encounter with the program, found me as a quiet, silent individual. I was a boy with much to say though, just not the knowledge of how to express those thoughts. And then, as fortune would have it, I was given the opportunity to participate in a City Hearts acting class. The experience was simply amazing. The teacher was exceptional, he listened with a kind ear but yet was strict and led us in the right direction. At first I didn't want to do any of it. Acting seemed dull and uninteresting. But as I stayed more and more I felt like I could become so much more with this program. A different man. We got to play fun game that helped us deal with any fright we may have on stage and before I realized I was no longer the same boy. I changed. I was different. More open, more social, more me. More at liberty to pursue everyone of those silent, pleading thought that nagged at me, telling me I should say something. My confidence grew and people saw me in a new light. But I didn't want to stop there. The whole acting experience changed my whole perspective of life. I want to be an actor now. City Hearts have given me dreams and aspiration I thought I would never have. Me an actor? That was the last thing I saw myself doing, but now that all I see myself doing. Thank you City hearts, for changing my life.
