I moved to the Raleigh area and, looking for groups and gatherings for Pagans, I found the Church of the Earth. I soon became very involved and now serve on the Church Council, run many of its rituals, and through the Church, have found a dozen other local groups and organizations. Church of the Earth is a great melting pot and for a variety of Pagan belief systems, with only a loose set of tenets as general guidelines for membership: 1) Every Person's Religious Belief Is Correct, For Them. 2) The Earth Is Our Mother, We Should Respect Her. 3) Old Ways Should Not Be Ignored. 4) We are Accountable for our Actions.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The general common sense and openness of this Pagan group has allowed me to become more comfortable with my own beliefs, and has provided contact with most of the people I now consider my friends.
