Children’s Rainbow Mountain Retreat

A break in the storm, a joyful therapeutic retreat, and the knowledge that dreams can come true…. these are the things we provide for  abused children, children with special needs and children with life threatening illnesses. We believe that a therapeutic dream retreat in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, filled with laughter and joy, will lift the spirit, enrich lives, create memories, and strengthen hope in a better future. We sprinkle a little magic into the lives of these children and their families.

We offer the children a 4 day retreat, with their families. The trip, the stay, the meals and all the activities are free of charge. The activities for “our” children range from planned group activities, counseling, evenings around the campfire and fishing in the pond, to exciting trips to nearby Pigeon Forge''s  many exciting attractions. We want the children to enjoy themselves and share the joy with their families.

. It is never to late to dream and reach for the stars!

Programs:
Children's Rainbow Mountain Retreat offers children and families a break in the stressful storm of their lives with a joyful, carefree getaway that can make a lifetime dream come true. Our mission is to provide these dream retreats for children with life-threatening illness, for children who have special needs and disabilities, and for children who have been traumatized by abuse (physical, sexual, emotional) or other severe life trauma (such as death of a parent or sibling).
A break in the storm, a joyful retreat, the knowledge that dreams can come true. These are the things that we provide. We believe that a dream retreat in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, a time filled with laughter and joy will lift the spirits, enrich the lives, create memories, and strengthen hope. During the retreat, we strive to sprinkle a little magic into the lives of these children and their families to brighten their futures.

We offer the children a three to five day retreat with their families. The trip, the stay, the meals, and all activities are free of charge. The planned group activities for the children range from simple joys such as sharing stories around an evening campfire to exciting trips to nearby Pigeon Forge's many attractions. We want the children to enjoy themselves and share their joy with their families.

"With understanding and love, we soothe mind and body, lift the spirit and build new hope. Play and laughter will strengthen the families, produce a positive outlook for the future, and create wonderful memories forever." At Children's Rainbow Mountain Retreat, no star hangs too high, no child's dream shall remain out of reach.

I volunteer for Childrens Rainbow and it is simply an amazing organization with amazing leaders and volunteers, whom share the same passion in life. That passion is to empower children whom are special needs, abused, or terminally ill and their families. They provide these special children and their families with therapuetic retreats. It's simply amazing to see a smile on a face of a child whom has fought a battle day after day, and to know you are a part of that smile. Also when families get together and can share their stories together and help support each other, you know you have done what you have set out to do. That's exactly what Childrens Rainbow is set out to do. To HELP these special kids and families. It's an awesome organization and I recommend everyone to get involved in some way.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

seeing the smiles on the little faces is the best result you can experience.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

work to get more support for this org, so that there can be more retreats or these children and their families.
