Mission: Child bridge's mission is to find and support foster and adoptive families for montana's children who are in need by offering hope and wholeness and to work toward healing, empowerment and justice for foster children. Child bridge equips families, individuals, volunteers and faith communities to provide and support foster and adoptive homes.
Programs: Direct assistance to foster children and families: assisted 12 foster families who received 23 child victims of abuse or neglect into temporary or permanent care, adding to our historical success of serving 184 children and families.
foster/adoptive resource group & training: provided monthly dinner, training and support for families requiring assistance to improve successful outcomes for abused and neglected children that enter into a foster/adoptive relationship. Child bridge served 982 adults and children.
foster/adoptive family recruiting and adoption guidance: recruit families from montana churches to adopt and foster abused and/or neglected children residing in montana's child welfare system. In 2014, 25 children were placed with recruited and/or supported familites, adding to our historical success of 88 children placed and 15 children adopted. Well over 8,000 people heard the message about the need for familites to foster and/or adopt.
