Target demographics: Any child on the pediatric spectrum (birth to 18) with developmental delays or disabilities.

Direct beneficiaries per year: In 2012, CDS served more than 6,500 different families in the Upstate of South Carolina, and soon expect that number to exceed 7,000.

Someone who had 3 hours of volunteer time could: Read to children, provide respite for families attending support groups, help with annual fundraisers, organize our shared Resource Library, entertain siblings while they wait, enter data/statistics, serve at our fundraising coffee bar - so many opportunities for volunteers exist at CDS!

Geographic areas served: Upstate of South Carolina (Greenville, Spartanburg, and Anderson Counties), Western North Carolina, Northern Georgia

Mission:

Our vision is to ensure that individuals with developmental needs and their families reach their full potential. The main goal of the CDS Partnership is to be the premier community resource for children and families affected by developmental challenges, and to expedite and streamline access to the services they need to reach their full potential by improving coordination and communication between service providers, both inside and outside the facility walls.

This is a great organization, it is not only focus on the child but in the whole family. I was one those families and I got all the clinical and moral support that I was needing but more than anything I got my hope back. Thank you CDS... more »

CDS is a place that is hard to explain but once you have experienced the professionlism of staff and therapists and the difference they make in individuals lives. We had a family member that received speech therapy from Kidnetics and the therapy was top-notched. They made the learning and therapy... more »

Both my sons have received services at CDS. My oldest for speech a few years back and now my youngest for speech and OT. I have seen such good results from the therapists here. The entire staff at CDS are wonderful and have been such a blessing for my family. I couldn't ask for better people to work... more »
