Target demographics: Military and their families

Someone who had 3 hours of volunteer time could: Organize a cell phone collection drive in your neighborhood, local school organization, or youth group.

Initiate a fundraising opportunity such as a bake sales, raffle, car wash, sports party, pancake or BBQ sale.

Mission:

Cell Phones For Soldiers is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing free means of communication to the men and women serving in the United States military.

Results:

Provided more than 90 million minutes of pre-paid calling cards
Prevented more than 7.5 million phones from ending up in landfills
Cell Phones for Soldiers mails approximately 10,000 calling cards a week

CPFS is a great way for me to put to better use the unused cell phones laying around my home. So many soldiers are deployed without a way to call home. I love that they will convert my old phones into calling cards... more »
