Our mission is to build a global network of supporters dedicated to fighting poverty in the Philippines. We are committed to helping the poor by providing for their basic needs (i.e. food, clothing, medicine) and by creating a brighter future for their youth through improved education.
This year we have been fundraising for Typhoon Haiyan relief efforts. Typhoon Haiyan (local name Typhoon Yolanda) hit the Philippines on Nov. 8, 2013 and caused major damage on the islands of Leyte, Samar and Cebu. Donations collected have been used to buy tents, food, water and medicine for relief efforts coordinated by the San Carlos Seminary in Cebu and the St. Peter's College Class of '63. As of December 5, 2013 relief goods have been distributed to 3,000 families in Leyte and more goods are being packed and shipped for distribution next week.
