Programs: In fy 2015, bright prospect served students from nine high schools, recruiting them at the end of ninth grade, guiding them during high school toward college readiness and through the application process, and mentoring them in college until they graduate. During fy 2015, bright prospect grew to serve 1872 students - 1037 in high school and 835 in college. We continue to achieve a college graduation rate in excess of 90%. In 2015, we expanded our programming to include career readiness, piloting a professional development week with our college students in the summer of 2015. We also entered into discussions with organizations in three other communities who want to replicate the bright prospect program in 2016.
These are just amazing people that are there for you. I had no clue about college in high school. They helped me every step of the way and here I am in college and I am still in contact with the program. Bright Prospect truly cares about their young scholars. Words cannot even begin to express the gratitude I have to this program and how much they mean to me.
