I volunteer here by helping prepare and serve meals each month. It's a great facility with excellent professional staff who are making a huge difference for the families they serve. Up to 40 residents are in the shelter at any given time while they also serve those who have transitioned out of the shelter, providing subsidized housing and other necessary support to help the families stay on their feet. It's a great organization and is the main reason why I became a member at Christ Lutheran Church (the church where the shelter is located.)

The organization's shelter, housed at Christ Lutheran Church in Baltimore, is the go-to resource for homeless women and children in South Baltimore. This organization also provides transitional housing for homeless women when they become employed. A wide scope of services is provided.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

helping to provide food and a place to rest for displaced children. It opened my eyes to the needs of women and children in my city.
