PO Box 605 Trilby FL 33593 USA

The Backwoods Bears Club, Inc. is a 501c3 not for profit charitable group that holds its meetings and events at Sawmill Resort at Dade City, Florida. Three times per year (March, August, and November), auctions are held to benefit various organizations like Central Florida Life Resources, Nature Coast Humane Society, Francis House, Friends Together, and Island Coast Aids Network (ICAN). We are delighted to be of service to their functions of providing food, life support and home care that would otherwise go wanting. In 2007 our club was privileged in sending $29,000.00 to these needy social services.

The Backwoods Bears Club gives 100% effort in their endeavors to help local charities. They have monitored the Humane Society of the Nature Coast and supported us at every opportunity when we have requested community assistance. They show great compassion for our furry friends and never expect anything in return. They are truly an example of compassion, generosity and unselfishness. We are honored to be one of their charities.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the animals that have been cared for through their fundraising efforts.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

that their members are so personalble and their genuine concern for homeless pets is so heartwarming and inspirational.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

friendly, kind and motivated to make a difference.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

truly help more non-profit organizations supporting both human and animal needs.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every six months
