The association for music and imagery has been created to maintain and uphold the integrity of the bonny method of guided imagery and music and to nurture and support all those who have been trained in it. In addition, the association for music and imagery certifies primary trainers in the bonny method, sets minimum standards for the content of training programs in the bonny method, and certifies those training programs that meet these standards. In addition, the association for music and imagery publishes a scholarly journal every other year and publishes two newsletters each year. In addition, the association for music and imagery has established guidelines for the continuing education of practitioners of the bonny method and will make available to its members resources for this purpose.
Conference booth at the american music therapy association conference in louisville, ky, november 6-8, 2014. Conference attendees were gifted with information concerning: the bonny method of gim; 23nd ami conference july 15-18, 2015 in elizabeth, nj; and a pen from the association.
the story of gim as told by helen bonny (dvd) is an interview with roseann kasayka (fellow and primary trainer) of helen's work. The dvd was reproduced and will be sent with each member in the membership package in february 2015.
journal of the association for music and imagery - volumes 1 thru 14 are available for purchase individually or in a complete set. Members and interested parties can purchase these journals. Volume 14 was given to each member in february 2015.
