Mission: Over the past 20 years the world of programming directed towards high school and junior high youth has been rapidly changing. Today's teens have been raised on MTV and similar fast paced, high-energy programming. These young people are technologically experienced with high expectations for show and flare. It is no longer possible to place a police officer in front of a group of students and expect them to lend their attention for an hour.
It is to this generation that ARC is specifically tailoring its performances. Unlike many other educational programs available to schools today, ARC uses an exhilarating combination of live Top-40 music, a large rear-screen media presentation, and a drama performance to convey an effective and powerful substance abuse message to the students. According to a University of Michigan study, "substance abuse messages 'take' best when presented by peer presenters". ARC is comprised of young people between the ages of 18-26 who portray dramatic characters set in a high school age setting. By utilizing what the experts say "works", ARC effectively communicates to its audiences.
Our goal is to be able to get the gospel of Jesus Christ to as many youth as possible. ARC is designed to perform in a variety of settings. Each performance allows us to open doors to share the love of God with our audience.
If you haven't experienced this refreshing troupe of young professionals, catch one of their upcoming shows... you too will become a fan!
