I needed to be able to get my little male kitty cat neutered, and priced local veterinary offices to see how much it would cost. I'm under the poverty line and the prices quoted by most offices was staggering to me. Someone suggested I try the Animal Birth Control clinic, and I was quite surprised that they were so inexpensive! For $20 or $30 (I can't really remember now) they neutered him gave him pain meds in pre filled dosage dispensers for a few days and even included the neck cone at no cost! They were very nice and understood that I'm a little overly attached to my furbabies, they were patient and polite, and referred to him by name, they didn't treat him like some nameless thing like I've heard about other places. They didn't even act judgemental about my being low income. The only issue that I had wasn't really an issue for most people... they have you drop your pet off in the morning and pick them up in the afternoon. Which is normally fine, but I was so nervous that I wanted to be able to stay with him (silly, I know), however the staff understood and were very nice and reassuring to me. I couldn't be more grateful for the wonderful staff there, and the wonderful way they treated us.

A well run, and well staffed organization. Everyone is eager to assist and help out, and boy do they help the city of Waco! We all love little puppies and kitties, but there are far too many homeless ones running around. The Animal Birth Control Clinic offers the best services for little cost (and sometimes no cost at all). The Clinic and staff helps to spread the word about the importance of spay and neuter in an area of Texas that so desperately needs to learn!

I have been a customer, volunteer, supporter and friend of this organization for many years. I have watched them grow from having "big" surgery days of 20 patients to performing 30-40 surgeries a day. The staff is an amazing group of animal loving humans that treat each and every pup and cat that comes through their doors with honor and integrity. The Animal Birth Control Clinic has worked tirelessly with our City to implement new spay/neuter laws and micro-chipping requirements. The impact this organization has had on our community is immeasurable. Central Texas is so very lucky to have such an amazing resource in our backyard.
