Mission:

Animal acres is a los angeles farmed animal santuary and compassionate living center that works to prevent farmed animal suffering through rescue and sherlter, education and outreach, and human enforcement and advocacy campaings and programs

Programs:

Animal acres is providing lifelong care for farmed animals rescued by animal acres investigators from stockyard, factory farms, & slaughterhouses, abused and neglected animals rescued by other organizations such as humane societies and animal control agencies. The sanctuary provides refuge for cattle, pigs, chickens, turkeys, emus, goats and sheep.

education and outreach: animal acres is offering humane education programs to schools and other kids' clubs and groups to reach kindness and compassion to all animals. Additional education programs include: internships, public tours, conferences and events and media outreach.

cruelty investigations: animal acres in working to protect farmed animals from cruelty by investigating and documenting farmed animal cruelties and urging law enforcement officials to prosecute animal abuse at stockyards, factory farms and slaughterhouses. Currently california is one of the few states that does not exclude farmed animals from the state's humane protection laws and this provides a unique opportunity.
