Promote the growth and development of plant biology, to encourage and publish research in plant biology, and to promote the interests and growth of plant scientists in general.
Publications - aspb publishes two monthly journals: plant physiology and the plant cell. Plant physiology primarily publishes full-length papers containing new results in plant physiology, biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology, biophysics, and environmental biology of plants. The plant cell publishes cutting-edge research papers in cellular molecular, and developmental biology of plants. Aspb also publishes a bi-monthly newsletter (aspb news) on general news items on the society and the industry and several other smaller books and pamphlets on various specific topics within the plant biology physiology industry. Aspb has also published a textbook on cell and molecular biology of plants.
