I'm a CSA volunteer - adoption for abused and neglected children; parents going through drug treatment and parenting programs; children receiving much needed medical help and counseling are a few of the things I've seen happen in my 101/2 years as a volunteer.
I wanted to become a CASA volunteer after retiring almost 5 years ago-knowing it was my time to give back to our community. Knew it was something I should get involved in, and I did. So glad that I did. It is my passion to help these children.
Of course CASA is under the umbrella of Advocates for Children; I totally support anything they do. I usually bring someone to the quarterly information breakfast to make them aware of opportunities that exist thru Advocates. There is some program of volunteering that everyone can get involved in. I cannot say enough good things about this nonprofit organization.
I love being a CASA in Bartow county. It is so rewarding. The staff, judges and the court are very helpful with anything you need help with.
I am a CASA volunteer. CASA is one of the services that is provided through Advocates for Bartow's Children. Every member of the staff of CASA is seriously dedicated to helping the children of Bartow County. They honestly only want the best for these children. All of the staff at Advocates that I have interacted with , have been professional and dedicated to helping the children of Bartow County. Keep up the awesome work Advocates for Bartow's Children!!
As a CASA (court appointed special advocate), I work with the families, encouraging them to create a better environment, make different choices and bring awareness to the needs of their children so they may go home, feeling safe and happy. The services provided through Advocates are an invaluable resource to these families and provide long term benefits to our/my community. Knowing I made a difference for a child, who in many circumstances had no control of what has happened to them (removed from the home and placed in foster care), gives me a happy glow! It's worth the time and effort to bring a family back together.
I have proudly been a part of this organization since 2001 and have served in many roles - event volunteer, donor, Rainbows Facilitator (one of the 8 programs we offer) and Board Member. The benefit that our organization provides to children and their families is unparalleled to any other in our community. We are gifted with a staff of amazing, compassionate individuals who take pride in caring for the children in our area. We are their hope, their voice, their safety and their future. When they are in our care, they are & always will be our family. If you, your family, your organization or church group are looking for a way to plug into the community please considered Advocates. Our residents at Flowering Branch love company; you could provide a meal, plan an activity, become a mentor or take the kids out to the movies. The opportunities are endless and the impact will last a lifetime.
Every staff member does not treat their position like a day 9-5 day job. Their duties go home with them and seem to pervade their every day lives. We are blessed to have this organization in our community.
I am so very honored to be a small part of Advocates for Children as a Board Member. This group's entire focus is to help the children of Bartow County and surrounding areas. It is such a massive task, and Advocates does an incredible job in our community. The staff works tirelessly each and every day! My hats off to them!
This youthful team of dedicated and passionate people offer eight different programs to make the life's of our less fortunate children better. The love for their job and thus the children is easy to see. There is a genuine comradery amongst this group that exhibits the "can do" attitude in setting their sights to resolve any problem that faces them.
If you intend to give to only one charity, please review this one first. In my opinion there is no better way to secure our future than to assure all children are safe, loved and guided! These folks lead in that vocation.
Is there a more noble profession than caring for GOD's children. Advocates care 24/7 for the beautiful children that need love, care and guidance. These guys have been serving this need for over 30 years! Way to go!
I was appointed to Cartersville, GA to serve as Senior Pastor of Sam Jones UMC a couple of years ago and quickly learned about Advocates. I was so impressed with the love and care and quality of the work they do. They minister to the children in our greater community with love and compassion and with a real servant's heart. From the Children's Home they run and throughout all the various programs they have, they show nothing but integrity and compassion. I wanted to get involved with Advocates and ended up serving on their Board. I am very proud to be a part of such quality organization.
