Significant activities include the provision of support and assistance to the families of active military troops who are deployed overseas by providing food, financial support, gifts to children, and home coming events and providing boxed goods magazines, hygiene products etc to troops deployed in foreign countries.
Project little soldier is a program that provides christmas and holiday gifts to the children of soldiers deployed to foreign lands. Each deployed u. S. Military personnel provides a wish list of two gifts for each of their children. Arms provides these children the gifts through donations, the direct purchase of the items, or the provisioning of gift cards at major retailers for the purchase of items. Since march, 2003, arms has provided over 68,000 presents for children of mobilized soldiers.
troop support is a program that provides direct support to active military personnel deployed in foreign countries and, in particular, combat zones. The activities include troop deployment and homecoming events for the soldiers and their families including over 150 homecoming and freedom salutes during 2005-2011. Arms also collects donations for and sends to the troops many necessity items such as hygienne goods, clothing, and food stuffs and, since 2003, it has shipped over 1,300,000 pounds of these items to servicemen and women overseas. This activity involves a massive collection activity and boxing and shiiping endeavor to meet the needs of these troops.
the families in need program is an activity to support the military families who are left behind by the troops while deployed overseas. This support assists family who have experienced an usual family event and for which they need some financial support.
