Reading Partners is focused on data and results. We are dedicated to ensuring that every investment made in the success of our students leads to a measurable increase in reading skills. During the 2011-12 school year:
• 89% of students accelerated their progress in reading.
• 73% of students ended the year closer to grade level than when they started school.
• 78% of students who began the year with low self-confidence demonstrated increased confidence by year’s end.
• 97% of principals noted school-wide progress
in reading.

I have been very impressed with this organization. The quality of the staff I've met is great and the training they offer is very helpful. Reading Partners seems to be one of the better run Americorps program because there are adequate checks and balances built into the system, solid administrative structure, decent training, reasonable hours, and accountability maybe not just on paper. I tutor once a week in an Oakland, CA public school and find that the curriculum is easy to work with. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It's wonderful to see my student making progress and really improving her reading skills. I love what Reading Partners is doing to help the various ...
