Mission Statement
Faces of Courage Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit cancer patient support organization, dedicated to providing, free of charge, programs emphasizing practical education; life coping strategies; and improved self esteem; through non-threatening, engaging, and recreational outings and overnight camps, including culturally relevant programs for minorities, which encourage a sense of “community” rather than isolation, with a primary goal of helping the cancer patient navigate their way through the treatment process and to thrive as a survivor.

Results:
We currently have over 3,000 camper families enrolled and served with programs over 1,500 campers last year.

amazing times at womens camps, life long sister-friends made. self confidence restored. Peggy and her krewe are wonderful..
I am also a voluteer, at kids camp...I have never been so humbled yet felt so loved...
I am a body painted survivor, a warrior freed by the experience...

I went to the Faces of Courage Womens Cancer Camp in September 2012, just after I had been diagnosed with breast cancer (I had been previously diagnosed with lung cancer in December 2010, and attended a different cancer camp in October 2011). Faces of Courage camp was so different than the others...

What an amazing group of people - Peggy puts together a full weekend of fun and activities for women and children touched by cancer. Top doctors come in and speak to the participants, massage therapist, beauticians, kayaking and archery instructors, life coaches and more all come out and donate ...
