Target demographics: Divine Mercy Care serves women all over the greater Washington, DC metro area from teenagers to octogenarians ... lots of pregnant women who drive long distances for our great doctors and our noble mission.

Someone who had 3 hours of volunteer time could: join our Gala Committee, create Baby Baskets for our charity patients, help with mailings, various office tasks, help organize a local fundraiser

Geographic areas served: DC metro area (includes DC, VA, MD, PA and WV)

Mission:

The mission of Divine Mercy Care is to "transform hearts through healthcare." Divine Mercy Care provides excellent medical care to all by remaining faithful to the moral and ethical teachings of the Catholic Church while providing medical care to the poor - particularly women in financial distress and/or those in crisis pregnancies. In 2009, more than $352,000 of charity care was provided to 216 women and their unborn babies.

Results:

Lots of healthy babies and very happy moms and dads!

I am so happy with the outreach that Divine Mercy Care does to support mothers in need have their babies. They are truely are a blessing to so many. I also appreciate the care they give their patients with respect and dignity. They are awesome! Thank you... more »
