Target demographics: Our clients are students from all over the world who want to explore what health care and public health provision is like in developing countries, as well as many academic institutions wanting to bring exciting programming to their students and trainees. In addition, we create social entrepreneur opportunities for local communities who are able to host and teach students from afar about local culture, realities, illness, and wellness. To date, we have enrolled over 7,000 students from 40 countries in our global health education programs.

The fees our volunteers pay go to support local underserved communities where we work. Our overhead is 4.8% (2007 independent audit)

Direct beneficiaries per year: 700+ students and 250+ CFHI community partners (doctors and businesses, NGOs)

Geographic areas served: Worldwide, with a focus on the US, Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador, Mexico, South Africa, and India.

Founded in 1992, Child Family Health International is a global family of committed professionals and students who work to strengthen communities at the grassroots level. We are united by a vision of advancing quality healthcare for all by creating global health education programs that are socially responsible and financially just.

It was one of the best rotations of my medical school career. Participating in CFHI's health program was the best clinical experience abroad I have ever had. The families I stayed with in both Quito and Chone were very kind, accomodating, and hospitable.
