Because we charge our artists nothing to attend the show (we had 69 artists from all corners of Mexico in 2010), we need funding assistance to reimburse their travel expenses - some come from over 1,000 km away to attend the show. The cost of transportation prohibits many of these very low-income artist families from attending
Funding to promote in the US will assist us in attracting more gallery buyers and collectors who will come to the show to purchase in one location from artists they would have to travel all over Mexico to find.
