50th Anniversary “Tattoo” Performance
The Federal City Brass Band has been invited by the US Army to participate in a special Tattoo performance commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Old Guard Fife & Drum Corps of the Army’s 3rd Infantry, at Fort Myer, VA in June, 2010. The FCBB is the only Civil War band to receive this honor. Financial sponsorship is needed to cover the expenses involved in this very special performance. Please send inquiries and offers to or . National Civil War Field Music School
The National Civil War Field Music School welcomes military and civilian Civil War reenactors to volunteer at the 2010 School, June 11-13, 2010 at Pamplin Historical Park, Petersburg, VA. Assist with preparing and serving Civil War-style meals or take part in training the fifers, drummers, and buglers in military drill. Non-reenactors can help with registration, set-up and clean-up. Mac’s for our Video and Production Classes
I work at a program called Employment Plus within the Developmental Disabilities Service Organization. We are trying to teach our consumers how to do podcasting, audio/music production as well as video production, desktop publishing and Web Design. We need newer Mac’s in order to teach them what the professionals are currently using. Things such as ProTools, Final Cut Pro and Adobe CS4.
