Learning in Retirement was my savior when I retired. From taking face to face classes to learning how to play Mahjong to joining a hiking and theater group and attending special day events to theaters, EAA, Boat trips, going to Lambeau Field, etc I made so many friends and am still living my best life during retirement. There is something for everyone. Get out there and join Learning in Retirement it will be a decision you’ll never regret doing.

I have volunteered with the Food Pantry of Waukesha County for the last 4 years, and it has been a wonderful experience. Staff are friendly, patient, hard-working, and caring. The many volunteers jump right in and do what needs to be done. It's a blessing to be able to work with these people to help provide food to the clients who need it.

While there are different programs at Kingdom Workers, the goals and purpose for each are the same—to share the gospel while meeting the needs of the communities being served.

Having worked with WILC since 2014, I am always amazed at the evolution of the autism programs. WI Independent Learning College, Inc. offers a wide range of training programs for daily living skills, prevocational to vocational job training to hires with job coaching and accommodations for autistic students aged 18-30 at the school, in the community, at specific employers, and in the home. The staff continues to improve skills through extensive autism training, RPM augmented educational / communication, Recreational, Art, and Music Therapies, physical activities such as yoga, stretching, walking, YMCA, nature trail/public parks, and so much more. WILC is both an WI IRIS and WI DVR Customized and Supported Employment, Career Profiles, Job Shadows, Job Development, and Temporary Paid Work Experiences at individual employers in the home communities of the students, along with job hires! Reaching for Independence is the mission of WILC!

Do not use La Casa De Esperanza as they are dishonest and attempt to do unnecessary work and charge the local government or you for the work. As part of a weatherization energy audit, they recommended replacing existing water heaters in a building with what the repair tech said was a more efficient model. When I pointed out that the existing models had an estimated yearly energy cost of $205 vs. the new model that had a cost of $266, the contracted tech from ActionWI said he didn't care as he was paid to install them. Only when I mentioned that I completed a fraud report with Neighborhood Services did they hold off on replacing them. The existing more efficient models were still under warranty as well. They have a long record of complaints and audits that confirmed poor quality work. In addition, the initial weatherization energy audit was very poorly done. They did a fraction of what they should have done, and the results were questionable at best. Don't use them. <br> <br>On April 19th, 2021, they had one of their sub-contractors (Action Heating & Cooling) come out to the 4-plex apartment building to replace all 4 thermostats, even though 2 of them had recently been installed, were of the digital type, and were working just fine. This resulted in unnecessary work and unnecessary expense.

As a founding board member, I know this organization is committed to ensuring all children have opportunities to connect with the natural world so they will grow to become future stewards of the planet.

I'm honored as a Veteran to serve other Veterans through the Wisconsin Veterans Foundation. The Foundation, during my decade of service, has worked tirelessly to respond to Veterans' financial crisis often in less than a business day. <br>The Foundation has, since 1998, provided acute financial assistance to Veterans and families of Veterans so they had the means to stay in their homes or apartments without fear of eviction or children going to bed hungry, or the utilities being shut off, and assisting in repairing Veterans vehicles so they had safe and reliable transportation to and from work.<br>This Foundation has no hype they say what they are going to do and do it quietly and meaningfully. This Foundation is a group of concerned Veterans and those who care for our Veterans serving Veterans and their families.<br>

When I was a young man of 19 I lost my best friend after a terrible car accident. He was in a coma and died of brain injury complications. That loss hit me hard and I know his family really struggled. When I was training as a psychologist I realized I wanted to serve people with disabilities. I had terrific training opportunities and have worked in brain injury Rehabilitation for many years. <br><br>I am honored to serve on the board of the Brain Injury Resource Center because I know the agency provides highly valuable and needed services to survivors and their families. Their passion comes from the heart as a family coping with brain injury. This is the place in Wisconsin for brain injury-related information and support.

Terrible. Often refuse to take on advocacy cases because they no longer have the professional staff with expertise in that area. Do not actually spend the money they raise during their largest fundraiser-Classy Affair-for what they say (e.g. new camp supplies, activities for programs, new office equipment). Very questionable treatment of the staff and clients at their summer camp (lack of a supervisor during many camp days, OSHA got involved during summer 2016 because a bloodborne pathogen incident occurred and they refused to provide insurance information to the worker who was involved). Parents are rarely informed when their clients are involved in an incident.

HUD help me keep my home I was in foreclosure they were with me everyday up until a year every time I figured I had no way out HUD continue to work on my behalf until I was approved for assistance. Thank you HUD.

I have had experience with this agency as a client and a volunteer. As a person who had a family member with Mental Illness, I took their "Family to Family" class at no charge. It truly helped me understand what my family member with the illness was going through. I learned so much from the class that I volunteered to instruct a Family to Family class. They also helped in many other ways as well, they help those suffering with mental illness find affordable housing, they try to help Veteran's suffering with Post Traumatic Stress, train Peer Specialist to help in the process of recovery and offer training to the Police & Sheriff personnel on dealing with person's with mental illness. This Waukesha Nami organization is top rate from my experience and sincerely try's to spend most dollars collected for helping Families, those Individuals who suffer with mental illness and for Community Service.

Banting is an excellent elementary school filled with caring staff and involved parents. The PTO is lead by a dedicated group of mom's who want to make their children's school a better place in the near and long term. They are hard workers and don't back down from a challenge, but are also kind and generous with their time and energy.

Delores Day is an AMAZING child abuse advocate and I support OK KIDS CORRAL, Inc.!! The Safe House she will be providing for teen girls coming out of Sex Trafficking is much needed!!

I first heard about the Waukesha Women's Center when it was in the planning stages, because one of its founders, Bonnie Martin, was a good friend of mine. Bonnie was a social worker and saw a great need for the Center in Waukesha County. <br> <br>Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would ever need the services of the Waukesha Women's Center. But, after a series of business losses combined with the devastating economic depression I found myself suffering from depression and disturbing memories of childhood abuse. <br> <br>Several times during my adult life I had struggled with depression, but no therapist had ever found the root causes of the depression. Remembering long buried events is like peeling an onion, and it took a long time to uncover memories of abuse I suffered from infancy through childhood. <br> <br>My therapist at the Waukesha Women's Center helped me understand what happened to me, and how I was able to bury those memories as a good way of coping. She helped me more than any other therapist; over 25 years I saw 3 therapists. They taught me coping skills to deal with depression, but really didn't find the cause of my angst. <br> <br>I liked the way the Women's Center is set up so that it is a safe place to visit, and my problems are treated with confidentiality and respect. When my therapist left, the transition to a new therapist was handled easily. I enjoyed attending some of the group events, and appreciated learning techniques of art therapy. <br> <br>The Center makes a big difference in the lives of the women affected by abuse, and I am very grateful to my old friend Bonnie for its creation and to my new friends at the Women's Center for improving the quality of my life by helping me come to terms with what happened to me as a child.

Find it difficult to believe this organization is non profit after reviewing officers annual compensation and the amount of fees and other donations it brings in. Looks to also be driven by volume/$ not necessarily actual individual member growth in it's sport.

I have had very " POSITVE " results from this program. They meet the needs of their clients with RESPECT, CARE, SINCERITY and COMPASSION!!! I hope that you will help to support this program.

EAGLE South Mountain Charter Inc. dba EAGLE College Prep is an incredible elementary school focused on preparing all children in the South Mountain Village community for college. The leadership team and teachers are relentlessly committed to ensuring all students reach high academic goals while also growing into people of remarkable character. Once you walk onto campus one cannot help but feel the love and positivity that permeates the entire environment. This is a school truly dedicated to serving all children and treating each one with love and respect.

LifeStriders impressed us with the amount of people they are reaching out to with the funding resources they receive. After familiarizing myself with the organization I felt very comfortable knowing that our donation would be put to great use. Their cause is great but the way they reach out to families and individuals with disabilities is amazing!
