I was given the opportunity to go on a hunt for three different types of animals with my sponsor Kenny Rogers, and ranch owner Mike Feldman in the Sonora, Texas area on January 16th, 17th and 18th. Kenny picked me up early and we drove to the ranch that morning. The first evening we sat in a raised blind and watched as axis deer and black bucks came out. We had one very nice black buck come out. I took the shot and downed the black buck. It was a beauty. We went back to the lodge and had a wonderful dinner and a few drinks. The next morning we hunted another area but had no luck, until we were picked up by Mike and were on our way back to the lodge when we spotted three Red Stags about 500 yards away. We drove another 250 yards to where we were 246 yards away and so Kenny took the shot at a cull one that Mike wanted taken out. That was a long trail. Saturday evening we watched 40-50 axis and when one came out in full velvet I knocked it down. I can't thank Mike, and Kenny enough.

My son has been riding at Dreamcatcher for 7 years now. He looks forward to going there all week. It has been life changing to being a part of this AMAZING program. They not only care about the kids but are also so supportive of the parents. We love Dreamcatcher Stables! They have made our lives so much better!!!

A Hardest Decision Made with Love: My Adoption Journey with AIM<br><br>In 1998, I made one of the hardest and most emotional decisions of my entire life—placing my son up for adoption. At the time, I was young, overwhelmed, and facing a situation that felt far bigger than I could handle on my own. The choice did not come easily. It came with countless nights of tears, questions, and soul-searching. But despite the deep sadness and heartache, I knew that the decision had to be made out of love—for the life and future of the child I brought into the world.<br><br>I didn’t walk this journey alone. From the very beginning, the team at AIM (Adoptions in Motion) was there to support me. They offered more than just professional guidance; they gave me compassion, empathy, and a sense of security that I never expected. The women and staff at AIM never judged me for my decision or my circumstances. Instead, they embraced me with kindness and understanding, making me feel like I mattered—and that my emotions were valid.<br><br>One of the most powerful aspects of working with AIM was how they focused not just on the adoptive family or the baby, but on me as the birth mother. I was never treated like someone who was simply giving something away. They made sure I knew that what I was doing was brave, selfless, and centered in love. I remember sitting in their office, my heart heavy, and a staff member held my hand and told me, “You’re not alone. We are with you through every step.” And they truly were.<br><br>Throughout the process, AIM ensured I was physically and emotionally cared for. They checked in on me regularly, helped me navigate medical appointments, and created a safe space for me to process my feelings. They explained every step thoroughly, allowed me to ask as many questions as I needed, and never pushed me to make a decision. Their goal was to empower me to make the best choice for myself and my child—with support, not pressure.<br><br>Choosing adoption didn’t mean I didn’t love my son. It meant I loved him enough to want more for him than I could provide at that time in my life. AIM understood that, and they honored it. They helped connect me with a family who was ready, loving, and able to give him everything I hoped he would have—a stable home, a bright future, and unconditional love. Even then, they didn’t disappear. They continued to check in and offer counseling and emotional support, reminding me that my story wasn’t over just because I had placed my son into another family’s arms.<br><br>To this day, I carry both the pain and the peace of that decision. Pain because I let go of someone I loved more than words can express. Peace because I know he was placed in a safe, loving home where he could thrive. And gratitude—deep gratitude—for AIM, who walked beside me during the darkest time of my life and never let me feel alone.<br><br>Looking back, I realize that the strength I found in myself was made possible by the strength others shared with me. AIM didn’t just help me through an adoption—they helped me see my worth, my courage, and the depth of my love as a mother. For that, I will always be forever thankful!

We use our funds raised through donations and used bookstore purchases to fund children's, teen and adult programs at the Barbara Bush Library. On an annual basis we contribute approximately $60,000 dollars to the library to supplement Harris County funds. Our Board and bookstore "employees" are all volunteers, with many serving a number of years. Our Board admin costs are very low in comparison to other non-profits.<br>We currently have a fund raiser to upgrade and refurbish areas of the library, including new furniture in the lobby and upstairs lobby, add a tween area to the children's library, refurbish the manager's office and employee break room, and other projects throughout the library.

<br>I started volunteering with Redeemed Ministries because I was born and raised in Houston Texas and never heard of sex trafficking or trauma-informed care and I heard about them through attending multiple anti-human trafficking trainings in the area. When I attended the Redeemed Ministries training, Executive Director Bobbie Mark and her husband Dennis helped me to understand how trauma impacts the brain and how survivors require trauma-informed care and a community of support to help sex trafficked women survivors regain restoration, trauma-informed care, support in the community, and achieve their goals like complete education goals, learning healthy habits and time management. I started volunteering with my Grace Church Humble-The Grace Ladies and we planned fun activities for the ladies like a painting class, a day out roller skating, visiting a museum then lunch. During these special outings, we laughed and had so much fun. Then I learned throughout the week these ladies are in constant clinical therapy classes, medical appointments, and education pursuit classes and they count the days when the Grace Ladies return to mentor them, enjoy laughing, and learn about Jesus. For close to 8 years now, I witnessed Redeemed Ministries provide mercy, care, grace, hope, and love to incredible survivors and I’ve witnessed many graduates from the program thrive to pursue successful adventures. Because of Redeemed Ministries staff and God, they are making a true impact on this earth. Because of my volunteer journey with Redeemed Ministries, I returned to college for Social Work and look forward to serving the vulnerable by empowering and stamping out stigmas of oppression and myths in our communities.

We have 2 in the school, both began in pre-k, one is in grammar school (3rd) and the other in logic school (7th). I cannot express how much of a blessing this school is. The education quality is ... far.... beyond my 5A school education. I graduated with honors at my high school and my children will be well ahead of where I was when I entered college. Beyond that, this school is simply a giant family. The upper schoolers pick up the grammar school kids and carry them on their shoulders. It's such a safe place to develop a rigid, steadfast character; Idyllic. I wish all children could experience what mine do.

This organization is awesome, I am the Resident Services Coordinator of a community in Montgomery, TX and they are dedicated to their mission, anytime I have called on them they have showed up and provided multiple services. Thanks Ms. Rita!!

Special Angels of The Woodlands (SAW) has a very special place in our hearts. My family has been proud financial supporters of this unique organization since 2007. <br> <br>Absolutely every time we enter ANGEL OAKS, we hear laughter and feel joy. This is a happy place for adults with developmental disabilities. It’s a Day Hab with a mission statement to keep these Angels actively engaged in their community. <br> <br>When these angels graduated from high school, there was no place for them to go, to stay active, to learn, and to enjoy meeting lifelong friends. Special Angels of The Woodlands is the place where these activities -and more- can be found. The smiles and the laughter say it all.

I went to Odessa a few years ago on a mission trip with a group from Mississippi. Odessa Baptist Theological Seminary is a bright light for the gospel message and is very worthy of support. They are true servants of the Lord, humble and dedicated, providing quality education and training for ministers and pastors to serve their region of the world. Many of their pastors serve in war torn areas, and face challenges and difficulties both spiritual and financial. I personally support them. Your gift to them is an investment in ministry for the kingdom of God and the saving message of Christ and forgiveness of sins, eternal salvation , heaven and the hope of glory. After what they put our dog through, these people obviously don’t care about animals. Our dog’s scrotum was FALLING OUT the day after we had him neutered here. When we called TLC immediately, they told us to WAIT and come in first thing the next morning between 8-8:15 AM at their Spring, TX location. We arrived, and the place was closed - no one would answer. We sat with our poor dog who was visibly in such agonizing pain in the back of the car for 35 minutes. No one showed up. <br><br>We had no other option but to go to an emergency vet that costed a fortune. The ER vet said they did a poor stitch job on our dog and the sutures the TLC vets used needed to be REPLACED! I guess you do get what you pay for here. Given we had to pay extra to fix their crappy stitch job we should’ve just gone to a more professional clinic to get it done right in the first place. <br><br>Do not risk taking your pet here. Terrible service. Used poor quality surgical tools. Neglectful of their patients post surgery. Would not recommend, ever. Our dog suffered so much

I am very honored to be a part of such a great non-profit. Helping others is what we do best.

A great group of veterans and supporters that show an immense amount of love to Houston area wounded veterans in need.

I have had the wonderful opportunity to volunteer at the ranch for several years. I continue to be amazed at the positive relationships fostered by the instructors and the horses with the riders and their families. The instructors are so capable and caring with the riders as well as the horses.<br><br>To watch the progress and self satisfaction of each rider is extremely rewarding for all involved. It is a pleasure to be involved.

This group has been involved in various service projects throughout the year. A few of the service projects include supporting our first responders, helping Harvey victims, feeding the homeless and collecting toys for children in need.

The passion and work this group does is truly amazing.

My kids now 7 & 11 went to their summer camp in 2016 and loved this program. They cooked, danced, learned piano and went on weekly field trips. I could not get them in the program for 2017 because they accept only 30 kids but I definitely will make sure they're in the 2018 summer program.

Visual Compassion has provided the glasses we have needed to meet the needs of Eye clinics on our short term mission trips to Haiti and Kenya. They worked with me to have the glasses ready in time and exactly what I ordered. This year we even picked up the glasses in Haiti where they have a lab that employs Haitian people which left more room to pack other supplies. I have worded with them for over 10 years and will continue to each year we head to the mission field. They are truly one of God's hands reaching out to help meet needs.

Reach Across Houston has been reactivated and will begin work in the area served by Lone Star College System. The work will begin with 3rd grade students preparing them to be college ready. Benny Sanders is Executive Director.

The staff is barely tolerable and arrogant, the doctors are sub-par and do not give proper pre-op exams. Myself and other that i know have had a terrible experience with several staff members while dropping off and picking up my pet. they are rude and seem to just want to get you out the door. I wouldn't return if it were free!! Plus once i came for vaccines and the doctor in this tiny room preached to me about food and basically made me feel like i was bad to my dog because i dint make him special foods every day. I basically paid for a complex. Never never ever again and i recommend that you go else where for the better of your pet.

The Noon Optimist Club of Aldine, known locally as the Aldine Noon Optimist Club, has supported the youth of Aldine since 1968. The Optimist believe in "Bringing Out the Best in Kids". Our focus is to support the youth of Aldine to become the leaders of tomorrow, good citizens, achieve academic success and become productive citizens. We help support the local Boy Scouts, Grandparents Raising Grandchildren, Bonding Against Adversity (mentoring program), Reading Competition, Optimist Essay Competition (scholarship), sponsor H.O.B.Y. Leadership Conference for (6) high school sophomores, the Aldine FFA Rodeo Contest, Aldine Education Foundation (2 endowed scholarships), C.H.I.C.K.E.N. Club (anti-drug program for kids), The Aldine Noon Optimist are a small, but dedicated group of individuals who continue to serve and make a difference for children who identified as 83% economically disadvantaged and over 70% At-Risk. Our service area covers 111 square miles and serves over 70,000 students in grades PreK-12. By supporting our nonprofit, you help "Bring out the Best in Kids"!

This weekend Virgil came to Jesus Alive Church in Newcastle , Oklahoma and had 2 great services and The Spirit of GOD Moved ! He did a GREAT Service , and would Like to have Him back again.

I've volunteered her and donated to this great ministry! They care deeply for their clients and expect more from them than most. The best part is they thrive with those expectations!

Fabulous organization! Steeped in tradition dating back to its roots in the 1980s. Members are girls who are "class acts" and rise above pettiness and typical high school antics to form a bond with the purpose of helping the community and growing as the leaders of the future.

Sam and Julie are the real deal, pouring themselves into the lives of the most vulnerable in El Salvador. <br>Whether it be a severely malnourished baby or a prisoner, their love and care is transformational. <br>I have loved my visits with them!!

Mountain Top Development is a non-profit organization consisting of police officers that diligently seek to improve lives of others while giving back to the community. Not only do they assist in helping low income to moderate income families purchase a home, but they also provide transitional housing for ex-offenders to give them another opportunity to be productive in society. Hats off to you Mountain Top Development, and keep up the good work!
