Wonderful organization helping all in need as quickly as possible.

Last president bouys the company with her own wealth but still they can't pay employees or students on time or ever. This is probably because the rest of the board are no-shows and skip their mandatory meetings.

As a Mental Health Counselor and Venezuelan I found Mil Milagros 6 years ago though our founder when we visit to provide professional training to the staff and leader mothers in the organization . In retrospective we were the fortunate recipients of such more and such much learning !!! I was and still am so impressed with the professionalism and work ethic of the staff and parents of Mil Milagros team. They are genuinely all about being inclusive and active participants in the community. I love how there is such a dedication and humility in the leadership and their executive people to learning from them and with them.... <br> <br>I am also so impressed about their working model ... This organization really has created an efficient well -oiled machine with a soul ...To see them in action is inspiring and admirable ...a veces trabajando con las uñas y haciendo maravillas .... They make do and do it well!!!! Their ability to operate, evaluate, or reassess and then innovate their programming with the people and by the people is one of the secrets of their success. I admired how they are a unit with each other in the community , everybody brings something to the table and they are organized about how to go about it : I love how they are able to identify weakness or areas of growth and need (sure there is so much) and at the same time they all about bringing up the strengths, talents and marvelous resources that the folks and staff do have to tackle priorities and challenges ...and be successful! I can't wait to go back ..and in the meantime I will keep up with my monthly donation, and also putting my skills and my passion for my people and contribute in the ways we can figure out together! <br>Muchos saludos y mis respetos a toda la gente por alla !! <br>

I fell in love with Monkeyhouse long ago, on the other side of the country when they toured Another Femme Fatale Freak Show to the SF Fringe. They have a sense of humor about themselves and about movement that punctures the fear of not knowing that permeates so much of the possible dance audience. <br>But they never let that sense of humor interfere with being word class dancers. <br><br>They incorporate different bodies and shapes into their work rather than simply casting traditional dancer bodies and if there is pain or injury they explore and incorporate it as part of the movement. It's magical and that sense of play makes it accessible to a much broader range of audiences than a more traditional company would.

I have been a YouthBuild supporter for nearly 20 years, have attended a number of YouthBuild events and met a number of the youth that YouthBuild is serving as well as adults that transformed their lives thanks to YouthBuild. In my view there is no other organization in the world that is better addressing our country’s ongoing and increasing loss of social/economic mobility, incredibly high rates of incarceration, increasing racism and lack of participation by a large part of our society in the American Dream. YouthBuild’s leadership is totally dedicated to its mission, operates at the highest level of integrity and transparency possible and is very concerned with the efficient use of its financial resources.

The Right Question Institute's strategy is powerful, yet simple, and changes the way you think about the way we learn and teach. All schools should be using the QFT to help all types of students take control of their learning!

Massachusetts Rivers Alliance is a terrific organization that helps our organization (Berkshire Environmental Action Team - BEAT) stay on top of legislative issues, learn more about river issues, and leverage statewide assistance in accomplishing our goals. Julia Blatt is a great team builder. She lead a group of organizations in organizing "Improving Stream Crossings" workshops. These workshops, aimed at highway superintendents, engineers, and municipal officials, were well attended and very effective. Julia is a pleasure to work with, and Mass Rivers Alliance is a tremendous help to a small organization trying to have a big impact.

For two years I taught the adult ESL class "Helping Your Children in School" and was honored to work with an organization that is so deeply rooted in the community and at the vanguard of bottom-up change to build the civic power of immigrants in Somerville. The Welcome Project treats its volunteers with great respect, gives them free reign to explore their interests and make an impact in the community, and invites its volunteers into a warm, active community united across ethnicity, class, language, and race to make a positive impact on people's lives.

I live in Melrose, Massachusetts which is a suburb of Boston. A friend of mine is a single mom raising a severely handicapped son. Her son is unable to walk and uses a wheelchair. Unfortunately entering and exiting their home requires one to navigate a few steps. AND if you yourself are handicapped or know someone who is, steps makes life harder. For years, twice a day during the school year, my friend would have to place her son within eyesight, and then walk backward carrying the heavy wheelchair down the steps, all the while ready to drop the thing, and tend to her son if he son needed immediate assistance as he often does. I ran into her not to long ago and asked about her son. She had told me that through some connection she had come in contact with an ex Boston College football player (Gosder Cherilus) who ran a non profit. Long story short, Mr Cherilus foundation paid for a wheelchair ramp to be installed. She said it has changed her and her sons life.

As a volunteer and one of the founding board members of Sibling Connections I have witnessed the positive impact that our programs have on the lives of the children we serve. Sibling Connections is the only non profit in MA with the mission to reunite siblings who have been separated. In addition to my role as board secretary I also coordinate the Sibling Sunday South East program and for the past 7 years I have volunteered as the nurse at our summer program, Camp to Belong. I have come to learn that the trauma of being removed from their home and separated from each other is profound. Additional trauma occurs when a child is moved from foster home to foster home and school to school which happens frequently. Sibling Connections provides the consistency of safe and joyous opportunities for siblings to make lasting childhood memories that will keep them connected into adulthood. It has been an honor to be part of this amazing organization.

The Donor Card in my June 2011 issue of the newsletter reads, "Support grassroots social justice organizing today." <br> <br>On the last page of the letter, four "Hell Yes!" grants totalling $4,000 each were described and made to 'Southside Together Organizing for Power,' 'Pride at Work San Francisco,' 'Fort Hood Support Network,' and the Crawford Stewardship Project. <br> <br>I highly respect RESIST staff for being so adept at keeping its finger on the pulse of change at the grassroots for our entire American hemisphere. And I mean grassroots helping grassroots. Dollar for dollar, I would say RESIST is always productive in the missions it serves and US Foreign Aid in comparison swings below the graphing line into the nether regions of counter-productivity thus making every dollar donated 100 times more powerful than each tax dollar taken in support of a "legal fiction" without my consent.

I've been involved with Boys and Girls Clubs since college, ranging from front-line help to program founder ("Chess 4 Kids") to the past Vice Chair of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Middlesex County. Even more than other clubs, the BGCMC system serves as whatever part of a family that its members don't have. That can range from a full slate of family responsibilities - a safe environment, people in whom to confide, role models, growth-spurring challenges, homework assistance - to minor things with which even "great" families may not have experience - a place to play an instrument, learn a sport, practice yoga. In so doing, the BGCMC can save the lives of at-risk children and provide a springboard for healthy, productive lives for all of its members. It's an organization of which I'm thrilled to be a small part.
