My company participates in the Heartstrings goody delivery program, where employees with intellectual and developmental disabilities come by weekly to sell us their snacks and heartfully made items. This is one of the highlights of the week for our associates, as the employees bring such joy to us all. Heartstrings Community Foundation provides their employees with a sense of pride, and belonging, as they earn hourly wages based on their contributions while learning transferable job skills, building confidence, and developing independence. My fondness of the organization and it's employees led me to becoming a Board Member to further support this cause.

Pawsitive Tails is a fantastic organization. We have had our sweet Miss Millie now for 3 weeks, and our experience with Pawsitive Tails far exceeded our expectations. Crystal was in contact with us about finding our forever furry friend. Miss Millie was in pretty bad shape, but with the loving care of our fantastic Foster Mom, Megan, Millie came to us healthy and happy. Megan kept us informed about Millie's health the entire time Millie was with her. Our family cannot express enough of our gratitude to Crystal and Megan for all they have done for Millie and for all the pets they help find forever homes.

The Lantz Tucker Memorial Fund helped me when my 4 year old terrier olwas diagnosed with lung cancer and had to get him to a local veterniary school ASAP to see if they could remove the cancer mass. Unfortunately it had already spread so we couldn't do the surgery for him but the money they provided help me get him there sooner than I would have been able to on my own and helped give me an extra 3-4 months with him.<br>Since I lost Ollie I have followed them to see all the great help they provide to the pets and owners that need it at their greatest time of need. And they share the updates on the pets they have helped.

Mision Despegue has been helping my daughter for over a year. My wife lives in our home country in Central America, and the organization provides constant follow up on my now 14-year-old to make sure she doesn't get involved in drugs, she is very aware of the social media danger and is also available when my daughter is having a breakdown. More importantly, they call me to make sure I keep an eye on her and get involve in her life.<br>My beautiful daughter play soccer and this organization pay for the fees, uniforms and anything related to her wellbeing. She also volunteers with them; I am grateful for their support.<br>Omar Leon

The heart of their leadership is authentic. The resources they provide to teachers and parents are fantastic. And the way they pioneer a relatively uncharted field to provide resources to students is bold and worth investing in!

Lonnie and his team have been a blessing to my life. I have traveled with his ministry to minister to men and women behind bars. I've witnessed Lonnie and his ministry serve ex-offenders by helping reintegrate them into society, helping them gain employment and turn their lives around. Mostly, Lonnie has witnessed and introduced many people to Christ, thus he is helping transform this world one person at a time. I strongly recommend that you donate to this ministry or get involved to help in any way that you can.

Equally Yoked Foundation partners with universities all across the country to provide internship opportunities to college students. Some of the programs currently offered to students and volunteers alike are The Virtual Leaders Experience (this program provides a certificate of completion), a program called Photography through the lens of Diversity, Seth’s House and Feeding Families (both of which provide food to individuals with disabilities, homeless individuals, senior citizens, food-deprived, and the active recovery community).

Mission Southside has served the Johnson County, Kansas area for many years. It's an awesome place to bring a group to volunteer. We have a large family, and have in the past served on Boxing Day just after Christmas. We have also been served. When times were tough, they brought us box of food for a holiday meal. It was greatly appreciated. Mission Southside provides clothing and household items for people with needs. They also reach out to college students who would struggle to afford to buy items for their apartments. Mission Southside reaches out to fill the needs of people who just need a bit of a helping hand.

We spend 10 days at Roxanne Hope and enjoyed every minute. We got to learn about their everyday things that the girls do to increase their lively hood after they leave Rocsanas" Hope. This is great organizations. Their is no other organization that takes in young 18 year old girls and trains them to survive after they let go from the orphanage

Amazing way for all abilities to be included in every day life as well as provide education to all.

Stepping into the doors of TABLE, a grassroots nonprofit organization in Carrboro, North Carolina three years ago, I did not know how much my life would change and the impact this organization has on the community. TABLE provides healthy emergency food aid to 500 children in Chapel Hill and Carrboro, North Carolina each week. TABLE has worked diligently to change and progress in order to meet the needs of our community members. More specifically, this past year, TABLE launched a successful campaign to raise over $15,000 to prove 45,000 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables to preschool, elementary and middle school aged children! In addition to these fundraising efforts, another key component of TABLE's work is SnackChef.<br /> The SnackChef program provides nutrition education to children at eight different schools and afterschool sites. Last year, I served as a SnackChef leader at El Centro Hispano ' a community organization that serves the Lantina/o community. Every other week, I went with another team leader to teach kids how to make healthy and tasty snacks. In addition to the snacks, we discussed where foods come from, what a healthy plate looks like, and why specific foods are important to our overall health. It was a learning experience for everyone!<br /> I, myself, come from a low-income family that did not always have access to healthy food and as such, I was not always accustomed to eating healthy foods. I knew that I would not like the baby tomato, but I could not let this little girl know that! I picked up the baby tomato and plopped it in my mouth determined to not let my thoughts appear on my face. But to my surprise, I actually liked the baby tomato! She noticed and quickly plopped one into her mouth too and was also presently surprised. Throughout the year, we both learned how to eat more and more healthy foods. Through SnackChef and TABLE's other programs, I have watched as these children tried new foods, learned about where foods came from, and became more confident in themselves! TABLE is changing the lives of these children for the better, but it is also transforming the community, community members, volunteers, and interns alike! <br /> I am thankful for all that TABLE has done and continues to do and for their flexibility as they continue to learn about the changing needs of our community!<br />

This company is all about profits. My daughter clicked on their contract thinking she could make a decision in 30 days stated. At the end of the 30 days she told them she couldn't go. They told her she owed $600 for clicking on the contract even though she never sent the initial $300 to confirm commitment. They also told her that if she didn't pay she would be breaking NCAA rules and regulations. I contacted them and they sent me by laws she would be breaking. We confirmed with the Compliance Office at her university that it was untrue and this company lied. This is a warning to all parents. This is a shady company and the staff gives incorrect information. Threatens people who don't follow through. Not a business student athletes should deal with.

This is a fine organization run by an all-volunteer Board. Approximately 95% of donations go to support its projects. Currently they are providing college scholarships to needy and deserving students in Guatemala. They also partner with ACSI to provide scholarships to needy teachers for online teacher training and certification. They also provide bonuses to teachers in a creative access nation where teachers are paid next to nothing. This past year they also helped to provide a medical clinic in Haiti. Most of the efforts of this organization is in promoting a Christian worldview in education. In the past they have provided textbooks, medicines and helped to build schoolhouses in needy Central and South America.

I have known Pastor NJ Varughese since 1968 when we served on the same Operation Mobilization evangelistic team in Bihar northeast India. I took one month leave from my pastoral duties in the USA and worked with Brother NJ and his partner Pastor Joycutty in 1975, buying them their first two bikes. <br> <br>I have been a part of their ministry ever since serving on the board of All India Mission and being committed to the vision for Shanti Bhavan Medical Center which I have visited from the beginning of construction until it's ongoing completion. <br> <br>In the beginning my wife and I bought Pastor NJ's ticket to Sri Lanka where we served many years as missionaries teaching at Lanka Bible College. Then we purchased a one way ticket for him to come to the USA and gave him my mailing list to help him get started. He and his wife Ellen along with his friends and prayer partners have developed All India Mission and have brought the Jharkhand medical facility into reality by their faithful work. I have supported ACI in the past and was amazed at how quickly they put that donation to work. They are an organization serious about the common good, especially in countries with little to no options. I've had the privilege to meet the founder of ACI and he is truly a man who loves people.

This organization has a passion for children. The mission statement defines the activity of CCCSleadachild and it has proven to be an attainable goal since its existence. The dedication of the Board members to the mission is evident for they do not receive any remuneration for their time and services. The Board members cheerfully pay their own expenses for meetings and also when they volunteer to visit the locations it supports world wide. The founding family gave unselfishly for years, of their time and financial support .Their example and passionate leadership still is evident in the commitment of the Board leadership to "share the love of Jesus with children". The results of the mission is demonstrated in the lives of children who have received Christian Education and their growth in service as adults in their community and nation. It has been a thrill for me to see these individuals grow from hopeless poverty to productive Christians in the Church, Business, and Government.

I am a professional with expertise in this field because I am a mother, A good mother and KVC took my daughter because they would financially gain from me! I never did anything wrong, or hurt my daughter in any way. My daughter was taken illegally by her father and missing 9 months. My daughter was found in Arizona and sent home to me in March 2009. She was returned only weighing 90lbs, her hair was almost completely fallen out and had been cutting herself. I got her immediate Health attention and Psychological help. I went to all meetings and took her to several Health appointment's on a weekly basis. Once I got her healthy, we still continued therapy. Her behavior changed and I had to call the police,hoping they would explain the consequences if this behavior continued. They did a good job, she didn't listen. The last call i made was non emergency and spoke to an officer. I thought 2 days in detention would WAKE her up. They came promising this was going to only be 2 days. My daughter was never taken to detention. YOU TOOK her and she is still not home and it is March 2013. She was 15 years Old at the time. I Lost her, when she was taken by her father...I raised her myself her whole life. I cried everyday and prayed she would be found. I lived in a NIGHTMARE for 9 months. Seeing and hearing the tragedy's that happened to my daughter in Arizona, I studied all of it and how to help her. I did more than I was supposed to. I am her mom and I love her so much. Than YOU TERRIBLE People took her from me, like I was a bad mother! EXPLAIN to me, WHAT did I EVER DO! And to make matters worse. you lied and did not know what to say about me, so you say, I neglected medical care for her. Funny!! I have proof of every appointment and counselling session. 3-5 times a week we. My daughter and I were seeking treatment for her and never missed an appointment for her. I am not finished and I will get an apology and more even if I take you to the supreme court. And the Court Appointed attorney should not ever talk about his assigned case. I found out he and My daughters Social worker were helping each other out to keep her in the KVC custody.. You put her in care of bad people where she was raped, bribed and abused! HOW DARE YOU! Her life was already ruined and now, "think about it" <br>Think of the Pain I am continuing to go through. YOU ruined not only my daughter, you ruined me for life. This is also going public!!!! You will know by next week, get your made-up, thoughtless answers ready/Don't worry.You can not explain 1 of them, when or if you lie,that is more against you!

I am so honored you let me be a part of the "What my Father Means to Me" essay contest and celebration. I look forward to this event every year and am always willing to help out. I feel this is one of the worthiest causes I could be a part of. The National Center for Fathering not only has helped my husband grow as a father but it has also helped me grow as a mother and an individual.
